So, while reading the headlines to the local newspaper, my brow rose slightly at one of the topics in hand:
Students walk out during Pledge in protest over saying 'one nation, under God'
Apparently 12 kids walked out durring the pledge and proposed that oath be changed to the following:
"I pledge allegiance to the flag
and my constitutional rights with which it comes.
And to the diversity, in which our nation stands,
one nation, part of one planet,
with liberty, freedom, choice and justice for all."
Are you all done laughing yet? I still haven't.
I just found it soooooo ironic that this one pledge, something that actually united us all, is in the process of being deversified and causing conflict within each other. Not to mention that the constitution is constantly being altered with amendments and whutnot, how can one "pledge allegiance" to something that's not constant?
"But there should be a seperation of church and state."
"State" perhaps, but this is a national thing.
And if you protest about God so much, stop using money! It's government issued and they have "In God we trust." Follow through you bastards!

Now, I was raised under religion's iron fist (aka; Mexican-style Roman Catholic) but I've always considered "God" to be a title, not a name. I mean, if it were truely a name... and back when languages were still influenced by religion, they should have decreed another word for the use to describe... well gods. "Dieties" is an example, but you don't see "Demi-Diety" or "The dieties must be crazy" or things like that.
I'm a case manager, does not mean I am THE CASE MANAGER! (Yes, capslock and all).

I think I'm going to be doing more One Piece Fanart in the future. XD I finally caught up.. at least I think chapter 345 is 'caught up'. So far my favorite character has been and continues to be Usopp. But with the current storyline arc? :cries: I'm just in agony wondering what's going to happen to him now! :sniff:
Trying to pull myself out of my depressive stage, I figured it's been a while since I drew anything at all. I have no idea what made me think this up, but durring the process, it made me giggle. ^_^;

Anyway, for those who are nosey about these things, welcome to my journal. Before anything, I should let you know that I'm such a lazy ass when it comes to updating things. I won't particularly post everyday, but I'll try not to go a whole week without posting.
I may use this place as a sounding board when I'm frustrated, or if I ever get stabbed with an idea for a fic, I'll post up my Idea here and ponder if I should make a whole story about it.
